The frame is metal (an alloy of chromium and cobalt), this prosthesis is very strong. It is smaller and thinner than the acrylic prosthesis. It does not interfere very little movement of the tongue, while reducing the adjustment period. Maintained in the mouth with hooks and supports a few natural teeth, this prosthesis is very stable. But the reason it is considered a superior prosthesis, it is because, provided with support, it does not overwrite the oral tissues and does not damage the remaining natural teeth.
